Pipsqueak is a 2 year old female Chi-JRT x who is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She comes from a home where she was the baby of the family.
This petite little lady is looking for a patient forever family who can provide kind, firm and consistent handling to help her become a more confident and independent dog. When on walks she can be confrontational with other dogs but it is considered that this is fear related and would improve once she is settled in a calm environment. Her preference for females makes her less friendly towards males and any males in the household would have to be willing to take part in her training to ensure she accepted them.
She has formed a strong bond with her foster mum and is having trouble dealing with the busy life in her current household. Although her foster mum has helped her along her journey to becoming a more confident dog, it is felt that finding her a forever home at this stage would be better for her allowing her to settle and learn boundaries with her new family.
A calm household with more than one person responsible for her care, to ensure she doesn't over-bond, would be preferable and a kind but dominant resident dog would help her understand her place in the dog world. She could live with older dog savvy children who were able to be consistent in their handling.
Her foster mum considers that, although she exhibits behaviour which requires to be modified, when relaxed she shows she is a little sweetheart who loves female company and cuddles.
