Ahem!! Do I have your attention?
Please form an orderly queue and no pushing at the back.
Now who could resist this playful bundle wearing a very cute fur coat (which she enjoys having brushed...well a girl has to look her best)
Suki is a young female JRT cross who is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped and is now looking for a forever table to put her little furry paws under.
In her foster home she fits in really well with the two male dogs and, as she is still just a big puppy, enjoys playing and snuggling with the younger one so a home where there is at least one other playful dog would help her develop her doggy skills and become a well rounded adult. Visitors to the home are greeted with barking but her foster mum ignores it, treats her when she settles and this is working.
She can been left crated for up to three hour with no problem and also in the company of other dogs for a short time, but being so young may need something to keep her amused and channel her natural chewing instinct.
As she is a young terrier, she can still mouth/nip occasionally when playing but could be homed with young children if they were dog savvy.
Although she does chase cats it's playful with no malice and she stops if the cat stands its ground or her foster mum tells her 'Leave'. Other small furies may be too tempting and she has not been tested with any.
When out walking Suki is a bit pully on the lead, but this has improved the more she is walked. She also barks at other dogs but always with a waggy tail so this is just big puppy excitement and should improve as her socialisation with other dogs continues. Recall would need to be worked on by her new family as she has not been off lead on walks. It should be borne in mind that terriers can be very easily distracted by any wild life and a long line/ extending lead on walks where there are distractions is likely to be necessary unless recall is 100%.
If you think you could provide Suki with the forever home she deserves, please go to
www.dogsden.org/
and select the homing application from the drop-down menu under Our UK Rescue, where you will find everything you need.
Here are more photos for you to drool over, but please be careful not to drool on your application form as we may not be able to read it if it's smudged and you wouldn't want you to miss out on this little sweetie.
