I was reading this post this morning, re : Joseph & Blitzen, now I can't even get on to the link! One of these beautiful pair was 'reserved', what about it's sibling? I think that it's appalling that you can EVEN CONSIDER splitting 'a pair of dogs' apart. That is the only security that these poor things have....EACH OTHER!!!!! We adopted two chiauahuas (SISTERS) that had been dumped at a centre as they where no longer fit for breeding...... My now sadly departed loved dogs had a wonderful happy life TOGETHER! One passed away before the other leaving her sister devastated, distraught & she never got over the loss of her beloved sister & passed away shortly afterwards. Any person, as dog lovers that witness the love, comfort & care that they share could ever split up dogs that have been together all their lives, surely they have enough trauma to deal with by being in any centre/re-homing facility, please have a heart!!!!!!!

Odelle as Rachael says these dogs are not our dogs but with looking at the details on the Dogs Trust the two dogs left are part of a large group who were taken from a hoarder so they are unlikely to be a bonded pair.
We never split bonded pairs so please in future please either read the details or ask questions before you start ranting.
Thanks

I think Odelle needs to apologise. We all have things that bother us BUT it is best to get your facts right before shooting your mouth off.

Apologies that these dogs are not with you, I couldn't bear the thought of a pair of dogs being 'split up'. I most certainly did not want to 'upset any member', my only concern is for the welfare of the little dogs. As I'm new to this site, I obviously must have some-how received the wrong information as both my friend & I were viewing various sites as we're wishing to adopt 2 dogs. Please, bear with us 'new users' to your site as surely you will appreciate that my concern was for the little 'Poms' welfare at heart. Odelle. Odelle, often pairs of dogs come into rescue that are not actually bonded, have different needs and are better off split. These dogs are always carefully assessed before separating and will only be sent to different homes if it's in their interest to do so. A bonded pair is never split by this rescue - one of the reasons some stay with us for a long time, I'm afraid.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to explain your rules at the LDRC, it is appreciated. As you will have noticed that I have apologised for my mistake, however I've had no reply apart from your self. A few kind words of explaining how you work makes all the difference, thank you for that. Unfortunately, I am not used to navigating your site very well which is how I had obviously been mistaken. We all have to learn how to navigate different sites especially as I'm not too good on the PC to begin with so it will obviously take time to be as adept as other users of the forum. Many thanks, Odelle

Much appreciated Rachael for your understanding & patience, & to all the others at TLDR. Needs some lessons in PC navigation I think. Much love to all, especially poor little Harvey who is so ill. Our best wishes, thoughts & prayers are with him, Bless the poor little man, love Odelle X
