Billy is a real gem! He's a small Staffordshire Bull Terrier of about 2 years old and he has a fantastic temperament - a real credit to the breed. He's a handsome lad with gorgeous soulful eyes, a lovely soft coat, and a classic patch over one eye!
Just look at that face!
This calm and gentle boy loves everyone and is great with children (however because he is an unclaimed stray and we do not know his history around children he cannot go to a home where there are young children or where they visit regularly. Sensible older children or teenagers shouldn't be a problem.)
Billy has been excellent with the dogs he has met, waggy and friendly but not over the top. He is happy to ignore dogs that are barking at him and is much more focussed on his handler. He also showed no interest in chasing the chickens.
Billy walks beautifully on the lead (have a look at his video!), knows 'sit' and takes treats very gently. He is so bright and willing to please, he will be a joy to train (we will offer free training if Billy is adopted locally). He's a great traveller too, jumped in the car and settled down straight away, didn't make a sound.

Potential adopters will have thorough home checks before and after homing and will need to give references to ensure that Billy goes to caring and responsible owners. Billy will be chipped, neutered, frontlined, wormed and vaccinated before leaving for his new home and a donation will be asked for to cover this. We live in hope of saving the dogs in the Pound, but when we don't have a spare kennel then we have to start making difficult decisions. Please contact the dog wardens (dog.wardens@southglos.gov.uk) if you can offer Billy a fabulous home!
Please someone get me out of here!!
