Carmen, Patterdale, DOB 03 – Gatwick, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Carmen needs a family who understand how terriers think being a 'working type' terrier. Terriers can get hot under the collar when meeting dogs on occassions; they will slip through a tiny hole in the fence you just wouldn't have thought they could. They'll walk straight out of an open door or lower window without a further thought so Carmen needs a family who can anticipate her needs and manage her life for her; so she can relax or have fun depending on your agenda!
Her Story: Carmen was found stray. 2 vets have checked her and believe her to be spayed. From Wales via a pound we have opened our heart to her. Currently in boarding kennels and vax'd.
Advert: Carmen has proved herself to be a delightful terrier. She is quite well behaved around other dogs in the kennels and walking through the block. She has shared walks with other dogs without reaction. Hasn't met dogs off lead, but will soon. Not proven in a domestic setting, but our reading of her is she is a love and around 7 years old.
Carmen is a calm terrier in our books, but then we are terrierrescue! No doubt once settled in a home she will adjust to a routine and expectations. She is easy to handle (even with the vet clearing her glands not a flicker) so Carmen is a star in our books. If you've had a Patterdale before we think you'll agree.
"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".
