Ariel is a young Staffordshire Bull Terrier, around 2 years old. She is a sweet girl who loves people - children included - and has been very good with the other dogs she has met so far as well. We think she would be happy to live with another dog (or two!) provided the introductions went well. Her cat test was good and she could live with a confident cat. She travels well in the car, jumping in and settling quickly without a peep. Her recall (on a long line) was very good, and she is a favourite with the volunteer dog walkers at kennels as she has a lovely affectionate nature. She will need a secure garden though as she likes to chase birds.
Ariel is coping well in kennels but dearly wants a loving home of her own with a comfy bed and a lap to sit on - tummy rubs and back scratches would be gratefully accepted too! She doesn’t need masses of exercise – half an hour twice a day, even on a lead, as long as she can have a quick romp around a garden. Staffordshires make wonderful pets and Ariel is a little gem who will be a great companion. Come and meet her and see for yourself!
Because she is an unclaimed stray we do not know her history around children, so she cannot go to a home where there are young children or where they visit regularly. Sensible older children or teenagers should not be a problem. Potential adopters will have thorough home checks before and after homing and will need to give references to ensure that Ariel goes to caring and responsible owners. Please contact the dog wardens ( dog.wardens@southglos.gov.uk ) if you can offer Ariel a fabulous home!
